Beltangady: An amount of Rs 11 lakh was stolen from D K Lodge and Bar at Santekatte earlier this week.
A fibre sign-board fitted above the main door was broken open and access into the premises gained. The amount lying in the cash counter was taken away. On the face of it, the theft appeared to be very familiar with all corners of the premises.
Arjun, an employee of Nepal origin, has also gone missing from the same day. Hence a complaint filed at the town police station mentions him as a likely culprit.
