Thottam Resident Drowns while Fishing at Sea
Udupi: Paul D’Silva (57), a resident of Badanidiyoor-Thottam in the taluk drowned while fishing in a native boat.
He, along with Janardana Tingalaya, Bhaskar, Dayananda, Dinakar Kotian and five others, were engaged in fishing. D’Silva accidentally slipped and fell into the water.
Tingalaya and others jumped into the sea, pulled him up and brought him to the shore. But he is said to have already breathed his last.
A case has been filed in the Malpe police station.
