Mangalore: In a concerning development today, three educational institutions within the jurisdiction of the Mangalore City Police received threatening emails alleging the presence of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on their premises. The schools affected include Manipal School in Attawar, under the Mangalore South Police Station, as well as Presidency School and PU College, and Cambridge School near Neermarga, both falling under the Mangalore Rural Police Station limits.

Upon receipt of the threats, police teams were swiftly mobilized to ensure the safety of students and staff. The Anti-Sabotage Check (ASC) team and Bomb Disposal Squads conducted comprehensive searches at all three locations. Following thorough examinations, authorities confirmed that no suspicious items were discovered on school grounds.

In the aftermath of the incident, police personnel have been stationed at each school to maintain a secure environment and reassure parents and students. School authorities have been urged to exercise heightened vigilance and to report any unusual activities or communications to law enforcement immediately.
