Mangaluru: Three Accused in the 2008 Terror case have been imposed life imprisonments with rigorous punishment, by the Third Additional District and Sessions Court here on April 12.
The accused namely Fakir Ahmed, Syed Mohammed Naushad and Ahmed Bava were involved in the terror case in 2008.
There were allegations that the accused Fakir Ahmed, Syed Mohammed Naushad, and Ahmed Bava Abubacker were having links with terror organizations like Indian Mujahiddin and were providing explosives. The above allegations have been proved and the court has pronounced them guilty, sentenced all the three to life imprisonment.
In the same case other four namely Mohammed Ali Mukkacheri, Javed Ali, Mohammed Rafiq and Shabbir Bhatkal have been acquitted by the court on April 10 due to lack of evidence against them. There were allegations that the above accused were supplying explosives to various places in the country. All the accused were arrested in Ullal on October 3, 2008.
In this connection, cases were registered against 13 persons and charge sheet was filed against 7 of them.
In other words, three caught in our Ullaala turned out to be terrorists? Great job by police dept and judiciary in protecting our society. This is a very serious matter. Will our media, secular groups and ‘social activists’ wake up now and start looking into dangerous ideas and elements operating in our backyard? Or, will they get back to the old habit of burying head in sand and accuse everyone of hate speech?
