Three Die, 2 Injured in Bus-Car Head-on Collision at Sullia
Mangaluru: Three persons died and another two were injured after the car in which they were travelling collided head-on into the KSRTC bus at Arambur, Sullia here on July 14.
The deceased have been identified as Manjula, Somanna and Nagendra from Mudugere, Ramnagar. The injured are Tanmay (12) and Jayasheela.
According to sources, on July 14, a KSRTC bus which was plying from Mangaluru to Kollegal via Madekeri, collided head-on into a car coming from Ramanagar to Mangaluru while the driver of the car tried to overtake an autorickshaw at Arambur, Sullia.
The occupants of the car were severely injured. All the injured were rushed to the hospital but Manjula breathed her last on the way. Severely injured Somanna and Nagendra succumbed to injuries later in the hospital.
Other injured Tanmay and Jayasheela are admitted to the hospital. Sullia police reached the spot and have registered a case.
