Three Injured in Bus – Auto Rickshaw Collision at Shiribeedu
Udupi: A speeding bus collided into auto rickshaw injuring three persons including a child at Shiribeedu here on August 30.
The injured persons are Aarthi (42) and her daughter Sunaina (10) who were returning from the Adarsh Hospital by auto rickshaw.
The speeding bus Durgamba on the way to Kundapur collided into the auto rickshaw near Shiribeedu. Due to the impact, the auto rickshaw overturned injuring the driver, woman and her child.
The bus driver claimed that the accident was due to the failure of the brakes, but eyewitnesses said that the bus was speeding which led to the accident.
The traffic police visited the spot and cleared the auto rickshaw easing the traffic movement in the area.
