Three Labourers Die as Pandal carrying Tempo Overturns
Udupi: Three labourers died and others were injured when an Eicher tempo carrying pandal items overturned near Perdoor here on Sunday, April 29.
The Eicher tempo was carrying the pandal items for PM Narendra Modi’s Programme in Udupi which is scheduled on May 1.
The deceased are said to be natives of Assam.
The vehicle carrying the pandal items along with 12 labourers from Bangaluru to Udupi hit an electric pole by the side of the road.
One person died on the spot while two others died on the way to the hospital. Those injured have been shifted to a private hospital.
Hiriyadka Police have registered a case.
