Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Director Dakshin Murthy said, ” The much awaited suspense thriller and horror Kannada movie “Karaali” starring Mangaluru’s famous anchor Saiheel Rai will hit the silver screen, “Big Cinemas’ at Bharath Mall on 2 June 2017 at 7:30 pm show. Although the movie has been released in Bengaluru a couple of weeks ago, it has been running full houses at Sapna Theatre, Bengaluru. Since we were trying for a multiplex theatre to screen this movie in Mangaluru, so the delay. Now we are happy that finally, we have found Big Cinemas and eventually, we will release the movie in other parts of DK and Udupi. This is a commercial movie done in order to reach a large number of audience.”
When the director was asked by a journo as to how he found Mangaluru lad Saiheel Rai, he said, “While during an event in Mysuru, Saiheel was compering the show, and I was very much impressed by his compering talents. I requested him to come for an audition in Bengaluru, and he was selected as seven finalists among hundred plus who came for the audition. But finally we all decided to pick Saiheel as our main hero for ‘Karaali’ film, and we are happy that we made the right choice”
Also speaking during the occasion, Saiheel said, “This is my first experience as an actor. Right from the director, producer, cameraman and rest of the film crew. everyone was friendly, supportive and gave me full encouragement and support to play my role. It was a pleasure to work with the entire crew, and I seek support from Mangalorean fans to come and patronize this movie in large numbers. Your support and love will mean a lot to me. I Believe in hard work because; there are no shortcuts to achieving Success. Believe in You and don’t give Up. People are here to talk. Do not bother . . . and if they talk behind you, it’s just that you are above them. I am confident that ‘Karaali’ will attract a large audience in Mangaluru, and attain success”.
Launched under Vedanth productions, Karali is a suspense-thriller movie starring Saiheel Rai and Prerana Iyengar in prominent roles. It is an animated drama directed by Dakshina Murthy with Aryman Pradeep as the music composer, forming part of the crew.
Cameraman Pawan Karkera, Production Manager Dev and Saiheel’s mentor Kadri Navneeth Shetty were present during the press meet.
