Timberlake dedicates concert film to Prince

Los Angeles, Oct 11 (IANS) Singer-actor Justin Timberlake has dedicated his new concert film “Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids” to the late music legend Prince.

“His influence, and I have this in common with I think every musician of my generation and the generations to come, his influence is all over everyone’s music and there’s so much that I feel like I’ve maybe consciously and unconsciously borrowed from him that it felt…right,” said Timberlake, reported eonline.com.

“It just feels right to dedicate the film to him.”

Prince, best known for hits like “Let’s go crazy” and “When doves cry”, had recorded more than 30 albums. He died in April this year.

Director Jonathan Demme agrees.

“The film’s been blessed with that name and that spirit,” he said.

“Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids” captures last year’s final performance of Timberlake’s world tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The movie premiered last month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
