The “Savior” mobile App that was launched recently helps you call an ambulance during the time of a medical emergency. Not just that- backed up with State-of-the-Art technology and a collaboration network of medical centres trained volunteers and ambulances, ‘Savior’ ensures that you get quick access to medical care when you desperately need it.
For App users, this whole ecosystem is designed to make sure that any individual with the App gets access to medical treatment during Medical emergency. And the best part is that the App is FREE! Renowned hospitals, to name a few, KMC; Fr Muller Hospital; AJ Hospital, Indiana Hospital, are among many others that have collaborated and been part of ‘Savior’ network. Any individual can download the ‘Savior’ app for free and get access to all these and more-Tap the SoS button and Savior does it all. One tap is all you need during the time of an emergency and ‘Savior’ makes sure that you get an ambulance wherever you are. It’s as easy as calling a cab.
Your medical details reach the hospital before you do-Save your basic medical details in the app and ‘Savior’ sends it to the concerned hospital as soon as you tap on the SoS button; Notifying a friend when you need the most. Want to keep friends and family informed when you are in need? ‘Savior’ does it for you. Get option to set up emergency contacts who you want to notify during the time of an emergency. ‘Savior’ allows you to call ambulances for you and for others. Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Dikshith Rai- CEO of the Firm which developed this App said, ” Savior will run the first responder/ volunteer campaign. We will train people for emergency care. We have partnered with hospitals for this. We are already in talks with the Traffic Police on training their officials. Our three main Objectives are Spread Awareness about Sudden Deaths, Road accidents etc. We have already interacted with 850 students in different colleges in Mangaluru. We will continue doing this; Create a First Responder Network. If we are trained with Basic Life Saving Skills, we can make a huge impact by taking right steps and decisions at the time of any emergency for yourself and others; and Reduce Response Time of Ambulances, by using Uber/Ola like Model. We developed a Mobile App for it.”
“About Savior App: the Time saved is Life saved. We want to bring down the response time of ambulances significantly. How? There seems to be a huge network of private ambulances and ambulances owned by hospitals and institutions. We bring them all on a single platform and distribute them evenly. We do have tech developed to take care of this. We want to make India the role model to the world. This idea can be scaled to any country in future. We can book an ambulance for you even if your 4G/3G connection isn’t working; and We have a self-sustainable business model” added Rai, who has been responsible for growing partnerships with ambulance operators and hospitals. Rai has more than 10 years of experience developing solutions on Macintosh and iOS platforms. Heads the product division at Savior. His past contribution in tackling vector borne diseases was recognized by U.T Khader, Minister of (ex) Health and Family Welfare, Karnataka.
Dr. Maneesh Rai-Chief Health Officer ; and also a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at KMC Hospital Mangaluru, where he specializes in evaluation and treatment of ‘Sudden Cardiac Arrest’ – which claims lakhs of lives every year also speaking during the press meet said that ‘Savior’ app is indeed a ‘Savior’ during time of medical assistance. Rai who is among the handful of Electrophysiologists in the country who deal exclusively with Arrhythmias, Heart failure and Sudden Death also said that when you see someone in need of medical care, don’t just stand there or click selfies/photos, instead call for help immediately or use the ‘Savior’ app on your mobile, thereby you can a save a life.
Dr Jeethu Radhakrishnan- Emergency Head at KMC-Attavar-Mangaluru during the press meet demonstrated a few basic techniques as to how one can deal with a person involved in accidents, choking, Heart attack, bleeding, etc. and urged people to come forward and help those who need your help during time of medical care/assistance. “Get help, and help others”, he said.
