Tipu Jayanti, Police detain BD and VHP activists in Udupi
Udupi: The BD and VHP activists were arrested by the Police for taking out a protest against the Tipu Jayanti Celebrations on Saturday, November 10.
The activists of Hindu organizations raised slogans against the Congress-JD(S) coalition government’s decision to hold the celebrations.
Over 10-15 VHP, Bajrang Dal and Sri Rama Sene activists, who attempted to protest against the Tipu Jayanti at the DC office were taken into custody.
BD Karnataka regional convener Sunil K R accused the state government of suppressing their voices.
