Tragic Accident Claims Life of Young Biker in Manipal

Manipal: In a heartbreaking incident, a 22-year-old biker lost his life after colliding with a parked tanker on National Highway 169A, near the SBI Bank in Parkala on Sunday, December 8.

The deceased has been identified as Srujan Sagara, son of Devu Poojary, a resident of Shettybettu, Parkala. Eyewitness accounts reveal that the tanker had stopped on the roadside due to a flat tire when the unfortunate collision occurred. Srujan, who was riding his motorcycle, reportedly struck the rear of the vehicle, resulting in severe injuries.

Emergency medical services were promptly dispatched to the scene, and Srujan was transported to Manipal Hospital for treatment. However, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he was declared dead upon arrival. Srujan was a recent employee of KMC, Manipal.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, and a case has been registered at the Manipal Police Station.

This tragic event serves as a somber reminder of the critical importance of road safety, particularly concerning parked vehicles and the potential hazards they present to motorists.
