Trains Delayed due to Derailment on Konkan Railway Route
Mangaluru: As per the statement released by the railway department which stated “Due to derailment of Goods train between Ankola and Gokarna station, trains are being indefinitely late/short terminated/cancelled”.
Due to three wagon derailment of Goods Train between Ankola and Gokarna station on the Madgaon- Manglore section on Konkan Railway route-Train nos- 12620, 22149, 12134 indefinitely late; 70106, 56641 short terminated; and 22635 cancelled.
Due to this incident, Mangaluru Madgaon DEMU train has been terminated at Udupi station; Mangalore Passenger has been terminated at Karwar station, while Madgaon – Mangalore Intercity Express, Mangalore Junction- Mumbai CST Express, Mangalore-Lokmanya Tilak, Matsyagandha Express and Ernakulum -Pune Express services remain indefinitely late or rescheduled.
Railway repair crew are already at the spot working to clear the tracks. More details will be updated soon as reports come in from the Railway department.
