Tribute to Girish Karnad
Mangaluru: We pay our tribute to Girish Karnad the eminent rationalist thinker, artist and a secular humanist who passed away today after a prolonged battle with ill health. We pay our respects to this great personality who stood like a colossus in the field of drama, literature, actor, director and most importantly a great human being sensitive to the sufferings of others.
We stand by his family in this moment of grief and re-iterate out pledge to continue our work for the values that he stood for all his life despite threats, ridicule and attacks.
