A Truck cleaner was hit by a car while he was crossing the road on NH 66 at Uchila here on Tuesday, June 14 night.
The deceased has been identified as Manju native of Kudligi Ballari district.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 10 pm while Manju and his driver were crossing the road after having dinner in a nearby hotel. A Nissan car which going towards Mangaluru from Udupi hit Manju. Seriously injured Manju died on the spot. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in Padubidri Police Station.
