Trump Sarkar Will Make America Great Again!

Mangaluru: As a Citizen of US having the prestigious voting privilege, I should have voted for Donald Trump on the first place, but made a mistake by voting for Hillary Clinton by flipping a coin- a bad decision that I made, where my vote became useless for the first time in the history of my voting experiences in USA. Every time I had voted in the US Presidential elections, right from Bill Clinton, to George Bush and Barack Obama my vote counted as all three candidates won, and this year it was all in vain- and I repent for my bad choice that I made this time. I guess even Congress leader Janardhan Poojary’s offering prayers at Kudroli Temple for Hillary’s win also wasn’t fruitful- luck for Hillary Clinton to win would have been much better, if Poojary had performed “Urulu Seve” rather than offering simple prayers?

Never has been in the history, a US election campaign this time so ugliest, foulest, the dirtiest and most hate-driven in living memory. Every day I woke up and turned on the TV for the current news on US election, there was always something negative of both the candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. While Hillary was slapped with allegations of Email scandal, Clinton Foundation etc, while on the other hand there were allegations of sexual misconduct and hate speeches of Donald Trump. Being a democrat, it was indeed hard for me to make a choice as whom to vote this year, because both the deeply unpopular stars seemed like a bad political reality show. It was a hard choice to make. I waited and waited and finally decided on a choice made by a coin toss- if it was heads, I will vote for Trump- if tails, I will vote for Clinton. So it was tails- I voted for Clinton online. And unfortunately, she lost!

Although I liked Donald Trump for his strong stand on illegal immigration, fight against terrorism/Isis, jobs for Americans, against outsourcing jobs, moving American companies overseas etc etc, but what bothered me was his tone in outlining these issues. Although he was speaking out of his heart, there was something that didn’t please the listeners. But I was still planning on voting for him. no matter what. But day by day, his approach towards the people got more vulgar, more violent, more divisive and more worse. And between these two candidates, it was nothing but torture and everyone was traumatized. Americans sick of election, want to end it already. They have just about had it with this year’s White House race. And as the clock ticked down to Election Day (November 8) many are counting the minutes until the end of what often seemed like a bad political reality show, headlined by two deeply unpopular stars, Trump and Clinton.

America the Land of Free, has become the Land of the Free for All. Finally, the New Leader of the Free World was chosen by the deeply divided populace after an excoriating electoral battle to decide the best of two worst choices. Yes, the 2016 US elections has been the most invective-infested poll campaign in decades-between “Crooked” Hillary (as Trump calls her), and “Bully” Trump. Together, the opposing candidates for the the 45th President of the United States represented a new low in American politics.

Now that Trump won, it means trouble- and already anti-Trump protests are taking place in few US Cities, including New York, Chicago, Philadelphia etc .The damage this election has done is such that the choice before the electorate is not really a choice. One of the frustrations American voters faced of this election was that whoever wins, there will be trouble. Americans were forced to decide between two evils- and finally one of the evil won to lead America for the next four years-or may be eight. I am happy that I did my part as a Citizen of US by voting, which is indeed a privilege. Even though my candidate lost, I will still support Trump for his commitment to “Make America Great Again”, and also that I like most of his plans to stop illegal immigration, fight against terrorism?Isis, create more jobs for Americans and stop outsourcing of American jobs (which has pissed off Americans very badly) and others.

Yes, Donald John Trump is now the 45th president of the United States elected in a stunning culmination of an explosive, populist and polarizing campaign that took relentless aim at the institutions and long-held ideals of American democracy. The surprise outcome, defying late polls that showed Hillary Clinton with a modest but persistent edge, threatened convulsions throughout the country and the world, where skeptics had watched with alarm as Trump’s unvarnished overtures to disillusioned voters took hold. The triumph for 70-year-old Trump, a real estate developer-turned-reality television star with no government experience, was a powerful rejection of the establishment forces that had assembled against him, from the world of business to government, and the consensus they had forged on everything from trade to immigration.

The results amounted to a repudiation, not only of Hillary Clinton, but of President Obama, whose legacy is suddenly imperiled. And it was a decisive demonstration of power by a largely overlooked coalition of mostly blue-collar white and working-class voters who felt that the promise of the United States had slipped their grasp amid decades of globalization and multiculturalism.

In Donald Trump, a thrice-married Manhattanite who lives in a marble-wrapped three-story penthouse apartment on Fifth Avenue in New York, they found an improbable champion. “The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer,” Trump told supporters around 3 a.m. on Wednesday at a rally in New York City, just after Hillary Clinton called to concede. In a departure from a blistering campaign in which he repeatedly stoked division, Trump sought to do something he had conspicuously avoided as a candidate: Appeal for unity. “Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division,” he said. “It is time for us to come together as one united people. It’s time.”

After his winning this presidential election, Trump was seen as a different man, calm and polite unlike he was earlier during the election campaign. That’s a good sign to note in him, and hope he continues to have that nature in future too. Trump pledged that he would be “president for all Americans” in his New York victory speech. He also praised his defeated rival for her years of public service. “Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country,” he said. “I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans.”

He added: “It’s been what they call a historic event – but to be a really historic we have to do a great job. “I promise you I will not let you down, we will do a great job – I look very much forward to being your president. “And hopefully at the end of two years, or three years, or four years – or maybe even eight years – you will say that so many of you worked so hard, but you will say that was something that you were really very proud to do.”

Finally, to the President and Commander-in-Chief of USA, Donald J Trump, I’d like to offer a prayer to keep Him strong as he leads America: May he walk in love. May he know the joy of seeing bridges built, wounds healed and war ended. May he have the peace that surpasses all understanding. May he be blessed with long suffering when faced with hate, bigotry, intolerance, violence, corruption, and the seemingly immovable. May he have the goodness to turn the other cheek, and the wisdom to act. May he act with kindness and be treated kindly in return. May he have the faithfulness to keep his promise — to the nation, to his family, to himself, to his Creator. May he continue to have a gentleness of spirit that chooses grace over pride.

About Donald John Trump :

Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman and politician who is President-elect of the United States. He is currently the chairman and president of The Trump Organization, the principal holding company for his real estate ventures and other business interests – a position he has said he will vacate prior to his assumption of the presidency. During his career, Trump has built office towers, hotels, casinos, golf courses, and other branded facilities worldwide.

Trump was born and raised in New York City and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. In 1971 he was given control of his father Fred Trump’s real estate and construction firm and later renamed it The Trump Organization, rising to public prominence shortly thereafter. Trump has appeared at the Miss USA pageants, which he owned from 1996 to 2015, and has made cameo appearances in films and television series. He sought the Reform Party presidential nomination in 2000, but withdrew before voting began. He hosted and co-produced The Apprentice, a reality television series on NBC, from 2004 to 2015. As of 2016, he was listed by Forbes as the 324th wealthiest person in the world, and 156th in the United States.

In June 2015, Trump announced his candidacy for president as a Republican and quickly emerged as the front-runner for his party’s nomination. In May 2016, his remaining Republican rivals suspended their campaigns, and in July he was formally nominated for president at the 2016 Republican National Convention. Trump’s campaign received unprecedented media coverage and international attention. Many of his statements in interviews, on Twitter, and at campaign rallies have been controversial or false. Several rallies during the primaries were accompanied by protests or riots. On October 7, a 2005 audio recording surfaced in which Trump bragged about forcibly kissing and groping women or being able to do so; multiple women accused him of similar conduct shortly thereafter. He apologized for the 2005 comments and denied the allegations, describing them as part of a wider smear campaign.

Trump’s platform included renegotiation of U.S.–China trade deals, opposition to particular trade agreements such as NAFTA and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, stronger enforcement of immigration laws together with building a wall along the U.S.–Mexico border, reform of veterans’ care, repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act, and tax cuts. Following the November 2015 Paris attacks, Trump called for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration to the United States, later stating that the ban would focus instead on countries with a proven history of terrorism, until the screening for potential terrorists is improved.

He was elected President on November 8, 2016, defeating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and will take office January 20, 2017. At 70 he will be the oldest person to ever become a first-term president.
