Tulu Movie-Buffs Get Ready For ‘Dombarata’! Releasing at 100 locations on Thursday, 15 September
Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during the press met held at Mangalore Press Club, Ranjith Suvarna, the Director of Tulu-film “Dombarata” briefed about the release of the film saying, ” This film brings on screen the male lead character in double role- the first in the history of Tulu films. Though it is the first film directed by me, but I have vast experience assisting famous directors of Kannada as well as Tulu films. The film has been produced by Rajesh Brahmavar, who has choreographed several Kannada film songs. The film is a cent per cent comedy drama, and has Kudla’s comedy-man Arvind Bolar”
“The life and struggles of the hero is presented in comic capsules in the film. The movie is going to be a complete family entertainer, without any slapstick comic elements. The film has five songs and all the five songs were released by people from five divisions of the film industry. The first song was released by Tulu movie directors while the second was released by Tulu actors. Third by producers and fourth one by gorgeous heroines of Tulunadu. The last one was released by comedy actors of Tulunad who are the most integral part of Tulu films. For the first time in Tulu film, three music directors have composed the music for this film. Popular music director in Kannada film industry, L N Shastry, Prakash and Shri Madhura are the three music directors.” added Suvarna.
Suvarna further said, ” Right now the movie expenses have reached up to Rs 60 lakhs, but it will go up a little more when we plan to release the movie in Gulf countries. The movie will be screened at 100 centres when it is released on Thursday, 15 September. There is one dance sequence in the movie where 1000 dancers perform for the song. Ammith Rao has played the lead role in the movie, while Bhavya, Pooja Shetty, Neema Nayak have paired opposite him. Rest of the star cast includes, Arvind Bolar, Umesh Mijar, Raghu Pandeshwar, Ranjan Boloor, Ranjitha Shet, Prathima Nayak, Prashant C.K, Chetak Poojary.”
Kudla Saikrishna and Keerthan Bhandari have penned the lyrics. In a first, Sandalwood jumbos Real Star Upendra and Shri Murali have lent their voices for songs in Dombarata along with local talents, Ravindra Prabhu, Dhananjay Varma, Anitha D’Souza, Shabari and Vidya. The film has cinematography by Pawan Karkera, Editing by Sujith Nayak, Background music by Indrasena, stills by Sandesh J. R, production management Satish Brahmavar and Rajesh Kudla.
Actor Ammith Rao, actresses Pooja Shetty and Neema and Aravind Bolar were present on the dais during the press meet.
