Tulu/Kannada community to Celebrate Shree Ganesh Festival
Muscat: Tulu/Kannada community from Muscat under the auspices of Shree Ganesh Festival Committee will be celebrating Shree Ganesh Festival in Muscat this year from September 5 to 7. All arrangements are under way. This year is going to be the 32nd year of celebrations.
It all started 32 years ago at the initiative of Tulu Koota Muscat and the tradition is going on and is well maintained. The whole festivities are filled with day-long Pujas, homas, bhajans, keertans, dances, instrumental music, 108 coconut offerings, Laddu/Modaka Seve etc..
Thousands of devotees will partake in the festivities. In addition to His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Muscat, a number of dignitaries from various business communities, social/cultural organizations do attend the festivities.
The whole hall is decorated with fresh flowers imported from India, mango leaves, banana stems, various types of fruits in a very traditional style and is a feast for the eyes of devotees. All are invited to pay obeisance and receive blessings of Lord Ganesh.
