TV Channels Restrained from Airing News against Asta Maths 

Udupi: The Udupi civil and session’s court restrained 14 state Kannada television channels and 3 local channels from telecasting untrue or false news purportedly linking Udupi Sri Krishna Math.

The judge passed the order on a petition filed by Tulu Shivalli Madhwa Brahmana Maha Mandala Udupi Unit which claimed that after the suspicious death of Shiroor Swamiji TV channels aired false and damaging news against the Udupi Sri Krishna Math and the Asta Maths.

The Court order states that Defendants, their men, agents, representatives, officials, officers and all those persons claiming through or under them are restrained from relaying displaying, spreading, propagating, publishing or conveying any message, information, report, news through any of their channels defaming and accusing Sri Krishna Math Udupi and Udupi Asta Maths and degrading, insulting and defaming the said Sri Krishna Math Udupi and Udupi Asta Maths in connection with Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math, Udupi until the next date of hearing.
