Twenty-two Test Positive for Coronavirus in Udupi District
Udupi: Twenty-two Coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Udupi district on July 9, taking the total number of positive cases to 1443.
Of the 22 cases, 12 have inter-district travel history, one of them had travelled to Maharashtra, and 3 contracted the virus through local persons who had tested positive for the coronavirus. The health officials are tracing the travel history of six persons.
All the Twenty-two persons are shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 223. So far, 1217 patients have been discharged, and three persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
