Two Arrested for Offering UAE Dirhams in Exchange and Cheating
Mangaluru: Two persons have been arrested by the CCB police for offering UAE Dirhams in Exchange and cheating a man, on January 18.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Saleem (33) and Nasrull Islam (56) from West Bengal.
According to the police on January 16, Two persons met Ibrahim Khalil and said that they had Rs 7 lakh worth of UAE Dirhams and showed him a bundle of the UAE currency notes. Ibrahim got suspicious about the bundle which contained only 7 UAE currency notes along with the old newspapers.
When Ibrahim questioned Mohammed Saleem and Nasrull about it they both fled from the spot with the bundle. Ibrahim filed a complaint in the North Police station under section 420 and 34 IPC.
Based on the complaint the CCB PSI Kabbal Raj and team arrested both the accused.
