Two Arrested for Selling LSD and Robbery Case
Mangaluru: The South police have arrested two youth while selling LSD near the Heritage building on December 11.
The arrested have been identified as Gautham alias Gauthu (28) from Kavoor and Loy Veigas (26) from Mandarabailu.
On December 11, on getting reliable information about the accused trying to sell LSD to customers near the Heritage building, the police inspector of Mangaluru South police station got into action. The police reached the spot and arrested the accused and seized LSD from their possession.
During interrogation, it was revealed that on December 5, the accused Gautham and Loy had kidnapped Hassan Shimaq from Falnir and looted him of his mobile, cash and a two-wheeler. The police have recovered the mobile, cash and the two-wheeler along with a Swift car, iron rod and knife from their possession.
Both the accused are involved in various crimes. Gautham was involved in assault and murder case and the court had awarded him life imprisonment in the murder case. Gautham had later obtained bail from the high court.
Another accused Loy Veigas is involved in a robbery, attempt to murder and assault case and cases have been filed against him in Kavoor, North police station, Barke police station and Mangaluru Rural police station.
The operation was carried out by the ACP of Mangaluru Central Sub Division Bhaskar Okkaliga, Mangaluru South police Inspector K M Sheriff, Mangaluru Sub Division Anti-rowdy squad police Inspector Ravish Nayak, Kadri police Inspector Maruti Nayak, PSI Rajendra and Manjula.
