Two Arrested in Unnikrishnan Murder case in Uppinangady
Uppinangady: The DCIB police arrested two persons in connection with the murder case of Unnikrishnan, a native of Ernakulam on September 7.
The arrested have been identified as Aurangzeb (37) from Ernakulam and Mohammed (23) from Palakkad.
According to the police on September 3, an unidentified body was found near a pond at Kuppetti Uppinangady. In this connection, a case of unnatural death was registered in the Uppinangady police station.
During the post-motrem, it was found that Unnikrishnan was murdered. On September 4, his brother’s son filed a complaint in the Uppinangady police station that the murder of Unnikrishnan was well planned. The Uppinangady police filed a case number 259/18, under section 302, 201 and 120(b) IPC.
Under the direction of SP Dr Ravikanthe Gowda and ASP Sajith the operation was carried out by the DCIB police Inspector Sunil Naik, Narayan, Vasu Naik, Laxman K G, Iqbal, Uday Rai, Praveen, Taranath, Udaya Gowda, Praveen Rai and Suresh Poojary.
