Two die after Tipper Truck overturns on NH 66 near Uppoor
Udupi: Two persons were killed and another one was injured when a tipper truck overturned on National Highway 66 near Uppoor on Friday, June 21 morning.
The deceased have been identified as Kumar resident of Bhatkal and Nagaraj Ganiga of Kundapur
According to the Brahmavar Police, the tipper truck was on its way to Udupi when the driver lost control and crossed the road divider, thereby causing it to overturn.
Opposition Leader of the Legislative Council Kota Srinivas Poojary, who was on his way to participate in the International Yoga Day Programme, stopped his car and assisted in shifting the injured persons to the hospital.
The Brahmavar Police also arrived at the accident spot.
