Two Foreign Nationals Arrested for ATM Fraud in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Two foreign nationals have been arrested by the R T Nagar police in connection with ATM fraud here on June 23.

The arrested have been identified as Felix Kisibo (25) from Uganda and Khairun Abdullah (32) from Tanzania, both are residing at Kogilu Cross, Bengaluru.

According to the police, on June 18, both Felix and Khairun had visited the Union Bank ATM kiosk at R T Nagar. Both the accused used to attach skimmer tools on ATMs to access card details. They were also using a spy camera to get the pin and were later withdrawing cash from the ATM.

The ATM security noticed them withdrawing cash using several cards, and they also seemed to be suspicious while getting out of the ATM kiosk.

The ATM security immediately informed the bank manager about the incident. The bank manager approached the R T Nagar police station and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the R T Nagar police got into action and succeeded in arresting both Felix and Khairun. The police have seized twelve ATM cards, three mobile phones, one laptop, Skimmer tool, Loader, and spy camera from their possession.

A case has been registered under the IT Act at the R T Nagar police station.
