Two Foreign Nationals Detained by City Police for Staying Over on Expired Visa

Two Foreign Nationals Detained by City Police for Staying Over on Expired Visa

 
Mangaluru: With lots of illegal activities including drug trafficking by foreign nationals, the CCB sleuths and other police personnel are keeping an eye on foreign nationals moving around in the city, and if they feel something fishy is going around, they intercept them and interrogate them. In this instance, the police, out of suspicion while interacting with them, found out that two males, one of Nigerian origin and another from Ghana who has been staying in India on an EXPIRED VISA.

The two were detained by the police personnel of Kadri East Police Station, and they are identified as Ankitola from Nigeria and Salaam Cristian from Ghana. Both have been produced in front of the authorities of the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Bengaluru. As per the local police, both foreign nationals had come down to Mangaluru to attend a function hosted by their common Mangalorean friend, Anil D’silva.

Both of them were sent by the FRRO to a detention centre in Bengaluru. Police are further investigating.,
