Two held by CCB police in Attempt to Murder Case
Mangaluru: “The CCB police have arrested 2 persons in connection with an attempt to murder case, near Pumpwell here on March 9.
The arrested have been identified as Shivaram Rai (45) and Sushan Rai (29), both from Jappinamogeru.
According to the police, on March 7, at around 6:00 pm, Shivaram Rai and Sushan Rai assaulted Naufal Ibrahim with a Wicket and later stabbed him for a silly reason. In this connection, a case was registered in the Kankanady Town police station and the case was under investigation.
The CCB police led by Inspector Sunil Naik and PSI Shyam Sundar got into action and arrested both Shivaram and Sushan from Pumpwell and handed them over to the Kankanady Town police for further investigations.
It is learnt that Shivaram, Sushan and Naufal Ibrahim were friends but Naufal was addicted to drugs. Shivaram and Sushan were advising him not to get addicted to drugs but Naufal did not heed their advise.
Shivaram Rai has criminal records and is also involved in murder, attempt to murder and threat cases and 7 cases have been registered against him in various police stations.
The operation was carried out under the able leadership of CCB Inspector Sunil Naik, PSI Shyam Sundar, and team.
