Two Held for Killing Friend in Ajekar
Karkala: The Ajekar Police on November 10 have arrested two persons on charges of murdering a man at Hermunde in Karkala Taluk.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ashok (21) and Sathish (29) residents of Hermunde near Ajekar.
According to the police on November 8 the Ajekar police found the body of Raju near Bollahole Bridge near Hermunde. He was Killed with a big stone smashing his head. A case was registered in this regard. The Karkala CPI Joy Antony and Ajekar PSI Madhu B conducted a search operation for the murder accused and succeeded in arresting Ashok and Sathish on November 10. The accused confessed that they committed the crime because of an old rivalry between Raju and the accused. On November 8 night, three of them had a heated argument over some money matters. In a fit of rage, the accused grabbed a big stone and smashed Raju’s head, killing him on the spot.
The Karkala ASP Rishikesh Sonavane is conducting further investigation.
