Two Men Electrocution case in Moodbidri, one arrested
Moodbidri: A youth has been arrested on March 29, in connection with two men found dead at Bakyaru Karinje on March 22, after they had gone missing since March 20.
The arrested has been identified as Shekhar (23) from Arantha Bakyaru.
On March 20, Gratian Rodrigues and Praveen Tauro had gone for hunting near the Karinje forest area, since then they were missing. On March 22, their bodies were found in a field in Bakyaru.
In the beginning, it was suspected that Gratian and Praveen had come into contact with the electric wire which was installed to hunt wild animals. But after the incident, two youth in the locality had gone missing which created suspicion. The police then intensified their search for the missing youth.
On March 29, the Moodbidri police succeeded in arresting one of the accused in the Gratian and Praveen electrocution case.
Shekhar has been produced before the court by the police and remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
