Pedestrian killed in road accident in Saligrama
Updates: According to the recent reports one more pedestrian Narayan, who had sustained critical injuries in a road accident which occurred in NH 66 near Saligrama on Thursday evening, breathed his last in KMC Hospital Manipal.
Udupi: A 46-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot and his brother was injured after reportedly being knocked down by a Maruthi Omni vehicle while there were standing on the side of NH66 in Saligrama on Thursday evening, June 27.
The deceased has been identified as Chandra (46) and injured person is his brother Narayan (50) who has been shifted to a private hospital in Udupi. Both of them were residents of Karkada near Saligrama.
According to the police, the brothers were standing on the side of the road and going to cross the road, when the Omni car hit them. Chandra was killed on the spot due to severe injuries.
A case has been registered at the Kota Police Station.
