Two Policemen Killed in Bus-Jeep head-on Collision
Mysuru: Two policemen died after a KSRTC bus collided head-on with the police jeep at Chikkahalli here on January 28.
The deceased have been identified as Police inspector Mahesh Kumar and constable Laxman.
According to sources, police inspector Mahesh and Laxman were on their way to Suttur Jathra Mahotsava. near Chikkahalli, Mysuru, a KSRTC bus plying from Narasimhapura collided head-on with the police jeep which Laxman was driving. The impact was such that, Laxman died on the spot, Inspector Mahesh was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries on the way.
Mahesh Kumar was serving as an inspector in the Crime department and Laxman was a driver.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigation is on.
