Two Shops Gutted in Fire in Udupi Service Bus Stand
Udupi: Two shops were gutted when a fire broke out in the service bus-stand in Udupi on Wednesday, September 16.
The blaze erupted early morning in a provision shop at the Municipality building at the Service bus stand and soon engulfed the nearby mobile cares shop. The goods and other items kept in the shops were charred in the blaze. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
An electrical short circuit is said to have caused the fire.
