Two Stabbed at Karavali Junction, one Dies another Critical
Udupi: A fight over a silly issue turned ugly at the Karavali Junction here during the wee hours of Sunday, January 29 when two persons were stabbed allegedly by a bike rider.
The deceased has been identified as Haneef (58), a resident of Nittur Udupi. Haneef was an auto driver by profession. The seriously injured Shabbir (55) is admitted to a private hospital in Manipal.
According to the police, Haneef was on his way home in his auto along with his relative Shabbir. Shabbir was driving on the wrong side of the road, a bike rider stopped and questioned Haneef, why was he driving his autorickshaw on the wrong side of the road? A quarrel broke out and Haneef was stabbed by the bike rider. When Shabbir, tried to intervene, he too was attacked by the rider. Both were rushed to the hospital but Haneef breathed his last on the way.
A case is registered in Udupi Town police station
