Two students drown in river in Byndoor
Kundapur: Two students drowned in a river located at Kamabdakone in Byndoor Taluk on October 17.
The deceased have been identified as Vamshith Shetty (12) and Rithesh Shetty (12). Both were studying in the seventh standard in Sandeepan English Medium School, Byndoor.
According to sources, a group of four students had gone swimming in the river in Yeadamavu, Kambadakone on Thursday, October 17 afternoon. Vamshith and Rithesh slipped and fell into the deep side of the river. Since both of them did not know how to swim, they drowned. Prathvidth Shetty and Vijayendra Shetty who knew a little swimming came safely to the side of the river.
Local Police have visited the spot and are trying to retrieve the bodies.
