Two Teachers Booked under POCSO for Sexually abusing Student in Hebri
Karkala: The Hebri Police have booked two teachers of a pre-university college under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for sexually molesting a Dalit girl student of the same school.
According to reports Manjunath and Sudheendra teachers of a Pre-university college had sexually molested the minor girl on September 14. After the incident, the girl’s parents had complained to the college principal and the education officer. When the principal failed to take action against teachers, the parents registered a complaint against the teachers, principal and DDPI Sheshashayana.
The Hebri Police accepted the girl’s complaint and booked the teachers under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The Karkala DySP Belliyppa is investigating the case.
