Two Women Killed and 10 others injured in Collision between Buses at Hassan
Hassan: In a ghastly road accident in Hassan, two women were killed and 10 other passengers severely injured on December 5.
The deceased have been identified as Fatima Sameera (27) and Yashoda. The injured have been identified as Abdul Salam (57) from Chengala Kasargod, Vidya (50) from Kadri Mangalore, Ravikumar (33) from Kabaka Puttur, Sathish Kamath (60) from Kadri Mangalore, Naveen Prakash (35) from Bommabetta, Shanan (21) from Attavar Mangaluru, Narayana (40) from Malleshwaram, Divakar, Prithvi and Vasanth.
According to sources, a KSRTC bus which was plying from Manipal to Bengaluru, at Hassan another bus Durgamba plying from Bengaluru to Mangaluru collided head-on into the KSRTC bus killing Fathima Sameera on the spot and injuring 11 other passengers.
All the injured were rushed to the Mangala Hospital where Yashoda succumbed to injuries.
The Aloor police have registered a case and are investigating.
