Two Young Sisters Drown in Tejaswini Rivulet in Chittarikal Kasaragod
Kasaragod: Rajalaxmi Rajeev (12) and Jayashree Rajeev (9), daughters of Rajeev-Shija couple from Eleri in Chittarikal met a watery grave near their house on Thursday.

They had been to the Tejaswini rivulet near their house to bathe with their grandfather.
Jayashree is said to have suddenly been dragged by river currents. Rajalaxmi jumped into the water to save her but both drowned.
Hearing their screams, some local residents came to their rescue and pulled them out. They were taken to a hospital but their lives could not be saved.
