Two Youth Arrested in Chain Snatching Case in City
Mangaluru: The Bunder police have arrested two youth in connection with chain snatching cases from GHS cross road here on December 27.
The arrested have been identified as Vimarsh Alva (21), a resident of Maroli and Shahil Hussain (21), a resident of Shivanagar Pandeshwar.
According to the police on December 13 and 25, chain snatching cases were reported in the Ullal and Moodbidri police stations. On December 27, the Bunder police arrested Vimarsh and Shahil from GHS cross road.
The police have recovered three gold chains and 2 Honda Activa Scooters all worth Rs 2.26 Lakh from their possession.
The operation was carried out by the North Police inspector Shantharam, SI Madan, Probationary SI Sheetal Alagoor, Ravi Pavar, ASI Padmanabh, Hariyappa, Govardhan, Mallikarjun and Vinayak.
