U T Khader Demands Kota Srinivas to Arrest Shobha’s Tweeter Account Hackers

Mangaluru: “Recently on May 24, five Muslim youth had jumped into the Netravati river to rescue a youth who had jumped into the river near Panemangaluru to commit suicide, but unfortunately died. As soon as the news spread, MP Shobha Karandlaje in a controversial tweet alleged that the Jihadis had killed Nishanth and requested Amit Shah to take action against the Muslim youth. When I retweeted and demanded clarification on the incident, MP Shobha said that her account was hacked. If her account was hacked, we demand an inquiry into the incident and arrest those responsible for hacking her account”, demanded former Minister and MLA of Ullal constituency U T Khader while submitting a memorandum to the District Minister In-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary at the Circuit House here on June 2.

Speaking to the minister, U T Khader explained and said, “On May 24, five Muslim youth who were in the Eid celebration mood, noticed a youth jumping into the Netravati river to commit suicide. These youth immediately sprang into action and jumped into the river one by one to save the youth. They did not think about religion nor caste, but their only aim was to save the youth. They succeeded in bringing the youth to the river bank and tried to save him by giving Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation (CPR), but unfortunately, Nishanth had breathed his last. “

U T Khader further said, “But on May 25, MP Shobha Karandlaje instead of appreciating the efforts of the youth, tweeted and alleged that Jihadis had killed a Hindu activist Nishanth. In her tweet, she also requested Home minister Amit Shah to take action against the culprits. When I reacted to her controversial tweet and demanded clarification, she tweeted and clarified that her tweeter account was hacked and also blamed Congress for spreading false information. If her account was hacked, we demand the concern authorities to conduct a probe and punish those responsible for hacking her account.”

In this connection, a case was also filed on May 26, in the Bantwal Rural police station against MP Shobha Karandlaje by the KPCC Social Media Secretary Ashok Shetty.

District Minister In-charge received the memorandum and assured to look into the matter.
