UAE Bunts Sports Day 2025 Successfully Concludes

Dubai: The UAE Bunts Sports Day 2025, held on Sunday, 12 January 2025, at the Etisalat Academy Dubai, proved to be a resounding success, with a large number of sports enthusiasts from the Bunts community coming together for a day filled with energy, camaraderie, and friendly competition.

The event kicked off with a prayer led by Sangeetha Shetty and Vaishnavi Shetty, followed by a vibrant and colorful inauguration. Dr. B.R. Shetty, along with International Karate Champion Pooja Shri Shetty, officially opened the day by releasing a bunch of colorful balloons, marking the beginning of the festivities. Pooja Shri Shetty had specially traveled from her hometown to the UAE for this occasion, making her presence a highlight of the event.

The celebration was further elevated by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Sarotham Shetty, Patron of Bunts UAE, Praveen Boja Shetty, President of Mumbai Bunts Sangha, and Ravindranath Bandary from Mumbai Bunts Sangha. Their participation and support greatly contributed to the success of the event.

The participants were divided into six teams, each led by a respected community leader: Dinesh Shetty Kottinja (Rangers), Udaya Shetty (Engphil Red Indians), Sunder Shetty (Abu Dhabi Tigers), Sujatha Shetty (Ace Avengers), Ashwith Shetty (GBMT Panthers), and Gunasheela Shetty (Dumech Titans). The teams competed in various sporting events, showcasing their athletic skills and strong team spirit.

The smooth execution of the event was made possible by the tireless efforts of the organizing team, particularly Prasad Shetty, Vivek Shetty, and Dinakara Shetty, who worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran seamlessly.

A special moment of the day was the felicitation of International Karate Champion Pooja Shri Shetty, who was honored for her remarkable achievements in the field of Karate. The award was presented to her by Sarotham Shetty and Reshma Devesh Alva on behalf of Bunts UAE.

The event featured a wide variety of activities that catered to participants of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. Games such as sack races, frog races, volleyball, badminton, tug-of-war, and track and field events brought everyone together in the spirit of friendly competition and sportsmanship.

As the day concluded, the Rangers team emerged as the winner of UAE Bunts Sports Day 2025. The ACE Avengers secured the first runner-up position, while the Abu Dhabi Tigers claimed the second runner-up title.

All winning teams and individual event winners were felicitated with medals and certificates, presented by the dignitaries on stage, including Pooja Shri Shetty, Sarotham Shetty, Prema Nath Shetty, Sharth Shetty, Sunder Shetty (Abu Dhabi), Rathnakar Shetty, Divakar Shetty, and Tharanath Shetty.

In his closing remarks, Sarotham Shetty expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organizing team, including Prasad Shetty, Vivek Shetty, and Dinakara Shetty, as well as the volunteers, judges, and all participants who contributed to the success of the UAE Bunts Sports Day 2025.
