UAE: Karnataka Floodlit T20 tournament was inaugurated on 9th January 2014 at the Ajman Oval turf grounds by KPCL Chairman Thomson DSilva and Ajman Oval officials. In the inauguration match Mysore Royals ANIB XI on Top thrashed Coastal Cricket Club Manipal by 173 runs thanks to the fine centuries by Man of Match Ramveer Rai (124*) and Vijay Dsouza (100) however they could not repeat their performance in their second match to loose against Prince XI Padubidri by 46 runs with Avinash 4/49 being declared as Man of the Match.
In the 3rd match Spiders Kundapura got the better of Sealine Coorg Tuskers by 4 wickets thanks to a fine all round performance by Santosh Kotian. After a disastrous performance in 1st match, Coastal Cricket Club, Manipal came back strongly to defeat Mangalore Cricket club by 9 wickets due to all round performance by Man of Match Rohan Shetty.
In Match 5 Universal Steel FZCO Mulky held the nerves to triumph against Prince XI Padubidri by 5 runs. Nelson Pinto due to his fine bowling performance was awarded Man of Match. In the 6th Match AutotechMoodbidri trounced Sealine Coorg Tuskers by 115 runs thanks to a blazing innings from Man of Match Ubaida 88 in 36 balls and Zia Qazi 75 in 37 balls. In the 7th Match Spiders Kundapura got the better of Aura Bhatkal by 4 wickets. Prashanth Shetty of Spiders Kundapura was awarded Man of Match for his fine all round performance.
