UAE: Minister U T Khader visits ‘Kannada Paata Shaale’ in Dubai

UAE: Minister for Health and Family Service, U T Khader visited the Kannada Paata Shaale (Kannada learning school), initiated by Kannada Mitraru at JSS Educational Institution Dubai here, on April 10.

The Kannada Paata Shaale, a free school, is initiated by Kannada Mitraru UAE under the leadership of Sashidhar Nagarajappa, which is dedicated to teach Kannada to Kannadigas in UAE with the support of JSS Education Institutions by providing space in their premises to conduct Kannada classes.

On April 10, U T Khader visited JSS Education Institutions, where he appreciated Shashidhar Nagarajappa and his team for their initiative and efforts to start the Kannada Paata Shaale for NRI children residing in UAE. He also said that children of NRI’s will benefit from the school, where they will be able to learn Kannada language.

During the felicitation, U T Khadar appreciated the good work of Kannada Mitraru UAE and JSS institution for supporting the good cause. He assured support from the Karnataka government for the smooth functioning of Kannada classes in Dubai.

CEO of JSS, Shivakumar felicitated the minister and thanked him for visiting the school.

Shashidhar Nagarajapa, speaking on the occasion, requested the minister to provide Kannada text books from the Karnataka State government, which will help teachers to follow the same curriculum. At present, more than 70 students around UAE are learning Kannada under qualified teachers, who voluntarily teach Kannada without anticipating any financial gain.

Senior Kannada activist Chandrashekar presented a memento to U T Khader. Class teachers Shwetha Hegde, Shilpa B R, Roopa H G, Vanitha Shekar explained the method of teaching Kannada to the minister.

Kannada enthusiasts Ganesh Rai, Chandrashekar Sankole, Siddalingesh B R, Sunny, Sunil G, Sharanappa Meti, Arun Kumar, Shantaveer Ganavari, Satish Hegde, Jayananda Pakkala and a large number of Kannada lovers were also present.

Very happy to see the Kannada culture and activities are spreading over globle continents .May god bless the organizers and participants who are taken initiative to speeding the KANNADA Indian Language . Thank you .
