UAE: The maiden “Sarvajanika Ganeshothsava” vibrantly concluded on 18 September, 2015 at JSS International School, Dubai under the dynamic leadership of Praveen Shetty and Prabhakar Ambalthere, president of Sarvajanika Ganeshothsava Samithi.
The celebration, which began in the morning, featured the Prathisthapana ritual and lighting of the traditional lamp by the committee members in a colorfully decorated floral mantap. Melodious bhajans by various community organizations and bhajan mandalis enhanced the divine environment.
Narendranatha Yogishwareshwara Swamiji of Shri Kshethra Marakada, was welcomed with a traditional grand procession. Later, in his pravachan, he explained the importance of Ganeshosthava festival and blessed all devotees. The swamiji was felicitated by the Ganeshothsava Samithi on the occasion.
Later, during the stage program, Shobha Karandlaje (MP of Udupi-Chikmagalur), J Krishna Palemar (former Minister of Karnataka), Manohar Prasad (Chief of news bureau of Udayavani) graced the function and admired the organising committee for the wonderful arrangements and spreading the tradition of India in the gulf region.
The splendid Ganeshothsava celebration concluded with immersion pooja and grand procession with traditional Mangalorean style tiger dance.
Prabhakar Ambalthere, President of Sarvajanika Ganeshothsava Samithi, extended his gratitude to all the devotees, supporters and sponsors for the grand success of maiden Sarvajanika Ganeshothsava 2015 in Dubai.
