UAE: Yakshamitraru Dubai, a dedicated organization which promotes ‘Yakshagana’, the rich and unique folk-art of Tulunadu will be organizing “Manikanta Vijaya and Rathi Kalyana “on 12 June 2015 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai to celebrate their 12th year of existence.
Amateur members of Yakshamithraru every year perform Yakshagana with the main intention to preserve the traditional and ancient form of art for the generations to come. Yakshamithraru are role models to others by training and providing opportunity to all those keen and interested towards yakshagana without any charges, but with a motivation to children and young generation to be a part of Yakshagana.
During the press meet and ticket releasing ceremony Dinesh Shetty kottinje, convener of Yakshamithraru Dubai briefed that one of the noted Yakshagana artistes, Pattla Sathish Shetty will lead in Bhagavathike, Chaithanya Padyaana in Chende and costumes and make-up will be done by Lakshman Kumar Marakada and Gangadhar D Shettigar.
Chidananda Poojary, Venkatesh Shastry, Shekhar Shettigar, Rajesh Shetty, Manohar Hegde, Rajesh Kutthar, Laxminarayana Sharma and many Yakshagana lovers were present at the press meet.
Shekhar Shettigar,added that ”Yakshamithraru” gate will be opened at 4.00 pm and yakshagana will start sharp at 5:00 pm like every year as committed to time.
Organizers have requested all yakshagana lovers to extend their support and co-operation for the success of “Manikanta Vijaya and Rathi Kalyana” and spread aroma of yakshagana in the UAE.
