Udupi: A 21-year-old engineering student of NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte was seriously injured in a head on collision at Nejar here on February 20.
The injured has been identified as Venyl D’Souza (21), S/o Veroncia D’Souza resident of Hampanakatta Kemmannu. Venyl’s Mother Veroncia is a staff nurse in Manipal Hospital.
On February 20, morning Venyl and his friend were riding their bikes, when they reached near Nejar a tipper suddenly came from the opposite direction and rammed into Venyl’s Bike.
Venyl suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Manipal Hospital. According to sources Venyl’s condition is said to be critical. His friend who was riding the other bike luckily escaped without any injuries.
