Udupi: A 23-year-old student was killed when the bike he was riding hit to a bus at Uchila here on August 6.
The deceased has been identified as Murali (23), a native of Kodagu. He was studying in Manipal.
According to the police, Murali was on his way to Mangaluru from Udupi. When he was near the West Coast nursery, the driver of a local bus, which was also on its way to Mangaluru from Udupi, applied the brakes suddenly to board passengers. Murali who was riding behind the bus was not able to stop the bike in time and hit the bus from the rear. Due to the impact, Murali fell on road with grievous injuries on his head and died on the spot.
A case has been registered in the Padubidiri Police Station
