Udupi: A 26 year-old youth died in a lightning strike when he was working in a field, at Aanjaru near Hiriyadka, here on September 7.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep (26), a resident of Aanjaru near Hiriyadka.
According to the police, when Sandeep was working in the field, it started raining. The rain was accompanied by lightning and thunder, which struck him. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. Sandeep breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
A case has been registered in the Hiriyadka police station.
