Udupi: A 35-year-old man ended his life by jumping before a speeding train near Indrali Railway Station on Sunday, May 24.
The deceased has been identified as Guruprasad Shetty (35), a resident of Kadekar.
According to sources, Guruprasad had borrowed money from friends and various banks, and was unable to repay the loan. Being depressed, on May 24, he went to the railway track near Indrali School and jumped before a speeding train. Passers-by noticed the body lying on the railway track and alerted the Railway Police, who retrieved the body and sent it to the Government Hospital for postmortem.
A case has been registered in the Manipal Police Station.
