“The central government has not made Aadhar cards mandatory while the state government is stressing the need for Aadhar cards. She further said that the Supreme Court has directed the states coming under the purview of the Kasturirangan Report to furnish the details of the scientific survey of the areas covered in the report. “Kerala has already submitted a report on the same but the efforts made by the Karnataka state government are in vain. The state government has decided to form a cabinet sub-committee to furnish a report to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will scrap the report of the cabinet sub-committee as it has clearly directed to submit a scientific report on the same. The cabinet sub-committee formed by the state government will ruin the hopes and lives of people,” she added.

“The delays in construction work of NH 66 have been brought to the notice of Surface Minister Nithin Gadkari and talks were held with the construction company. The construction company has expressed financial problems in the construction work in a letter to the Surface Minister. The company had also applied to borrow money from the government which was denied.”

Speaking on the Gangolli situation, she said that it is a deliberate attempt to disturb peace in Gangolli. “The incident in Gangolli is a pre planned act by the residents of other districts to shift our focus from terror activities reported in Bhatkal. The CCTV footage does not indicate the involvement of any resident of Gangolli in the incident. The state government should extend full cooperation to the Police department to crack the case.”

The procedures for construction of National Highway in Agumbe are moving in full swing. The PWD department is undertaking repair works of the Agumbe road at a cost of 10 cores, she added.

Speaking on Arkavathi denotification, Shobha said that senior BJP leaders are consulting law experts on the same. The state government has not supported the investigation committee set up under Justice Keppanna. An efficient probe is a must, she added.

The committee members for setting up Kendriya Vidyalaya in Udupi have identified Upoor and Alevoor.
