Udupi: A 45-year-old man was killed when his bike rammed into a parked tipper at Padubidri – Karkala State Highway near Nandikoor here on February 9.
The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra (45), a resident of Kukkikatte. According to police, Ramachandra and Govinda (42) were returning home from work. A tipper was parked on the road near Ram Mandir, Nandikoor on Padubidri – Karkala State Highway. Ramachandra failed to notice the parked tipper and rammed into it. Ramachandra and Govinda were thrown to the ground.
The locals rushed Ramachandra and Govinda to the nearby hospital, but Ramachandra succumbed to severe head injuries. Govinda is also severely injured and is being treated in the hospital.
A case has been registered in Padubidri Police Station.
